Deirdre Kashdan

I am an artist and mother of a man who has suffered from schizophrenia for 30 years, For three years I have been working on a participatory work entitled ‘The Missing Project’, and there are now 330 women taking part across the UK. Through a variety of processes including photography, written word, illustrations and sound, people have been describing how their lives have been affected by a loved one’s enduring mental illness.
